CARAMEL APPLE DIP (serves 8-10)
14 oz caramels
ONe 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 TBL granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped dry-roasted nuts
Apple slices

Gradually melt caramels in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until soft. Watch carefully as caramels burn easily. Stir in cream cheese, the sugars, vanilla & nuts. Dip apple slices into caramel mixture. (This keeps well in the refrigerator several weeks.)
