Chocolate Fondue
Chocolate...the favorite of many. This fondue provides an easy way to entertain your guests (or in your case, yourself).
4 packages (6 oz each) milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate pieces
2 cups (1 pint) light corn syrup
** 1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ cup cream
½ brandy or rum

Assorted dippers ~ marshmallows, strawberries with hull, apple slices, banana chunks, pineapple chunks, mandarin orange segments, cherries with stems, cake cubes, melon balls. These are but a few...experiment and add some of your own.

1. Combine chocolate pieces and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Heat and stir until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.
2. Add vanilla extract ( ** omit vanilla if brandy or rum is used) and cream; stir until well blended. Turn into a fondue pot and keep hot.
3. To serve, surround fondue pot with small bowls of dippers. Provide (fondue) forks for guests to spear dippers and dip into fondue.
