CHOCOLATE SNOWFLAKES (3 dozen)
2 cups sifted flour2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup confectioners' sugar
Sift the flour, baking powder & salt into a bowl & mix well. Heat the chocolate in
a doubel boiler until melted, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar
& oil. Add the eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the
vanilla. Combine with the flour mixture in a bowl & mix well. Stir in the nuts. chill
for several hours to overnight. Shape into balls; roll in confectioners' sugar. Arrange on
a greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
