Persimmon Cookies
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda, sprinkled over pulp
1 C. sugar
1 c. shortning
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix first five ingredients. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
