TEA TIME TASSIES
One 3 oz pkg cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 cup flour
Pecan filling:
1 egg
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 TBL butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
Dash of salt
2/3 cup pecans, chopped

Let the cream cheese & butter soften at room temp. Blend. Stir in the flour. Chill the dough about 1 hour. Shape into 24 1" balls; place in ungreased 1 3/4" muffin tins. Press the dough on the bottoms & sides of cups.
Preheat the oven to 325°. Beat together the egg, brown sugar, butter, vanilla & salt until smooth. Divide 1/2 the pecans among the pastry lined cups; add the egg mixture & top with the remaining pecans. Bake for 25 minutes or until the filling sets. Cool before removing from the pan. Makes 24 mini pastries.
