APPLE CRISP

Peel and slice enough apples to fill a shallow baking dish
or pie plate. Pour the juice of one orange over the apples.

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon mace
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 cup of butter or margarine
Dash of salt

Combine sugar, flour and spices. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly, scatter over apples placed in greased
dish. Bake 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are
done and topping is crisp. Serve warm with whipped cream.
