Glazed Apple Rings
1/4 cup mar. or butter
5 apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch rings
1/2 cup dry white wine or apple juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. gr. ginger
1/4 tsp. gr. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
-Heat mar. in 10 inch skillet over med. heat until melted. Fry several apple rings at a
time, turning once, until golden brown. (Add more marg. if necessary). Return all apple
rings into skillet. Mix wine, lemon juice, ginger and cinnamon; pour over apples. Sprinkle
with sugar. Cover and cook over med. heat just until apples are tender and glazed, about 5
min. Serve warm and, if desired, with whipped topping or ice cream.
