Peach (or Nectarine) Crisp
Peel and slice enough peaches (or nectarines) to make 6 cups. Combine 1/4 to 1/3 cup brown
sugar, 2 to 3 tablespoons of flour, a pinch of ground ginger and cinnamon. Fold this
mixture GENTLY into the peaches.
Spoon the peach mixture into a greased 9"x13" pan.
Topping:
1 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)
Mix into crumbs and sprinkle over peaches. Bake at 375 F. for about 35 minutes. Serve warm
with whipped cream or ice cream. (This recipe also tastes good using a mixture of fruit
and berries)
