Noodle potato bake
9x13 pan
1 lb lasagna noodles
6 cups diced potatos
5-6 large onions
1/4--1/2 lb butter
8 oz cream cheese softened
cheddar cheese shredded
Cook noodles until al dente
boil the potatos in salt water.Strain
slice onions length wise
saute onions in butter until soft
mash the potatos with the cream cheese (NOTHING ELSE)
add a little salt and pepper to taste
put a small amount of the onion mixture on bottom of pan.
layer of noodles. ( I usually put 6 noodles on layers 3 then 3 more ), layer of potatos,
some onion and butter mixture,and some shredded cheese. then layer again noodles,
potatos, onions and cheese. layer until all used. Cover with foil and bake in 350º oven
until heated through. or you can cover with saran wrap and heat in micro wave.
if you want you can use the 1/4 lb butter but it isn't as moist.
my two secrets of making mine are the chedder cheese and I ususlly put some chunks
of soft cream cheese here and there between layers. Not to much. and I guess now
everbody knows why it is so good LOL
