I have never been confused with MS either, to bad for MS, LOL. Anyway, I just put some
garlic, onion, Lawreys, pepper, and throw it in the oven, nothing fancy to that! I say
just use your favorite spices and let it happen!

If I were cooking a rump roast I would pot roast it. Just brown it off put it in a pan
with a cover or a bag even and put in some stock. I always throw in a bunch of spices of
one kind or another..garlic, onion, pepper but it isn't necessary. Just cook it until it
is tender adding more stock if necessary...About an hour before it is done throw in some
potatoes and carrots etc for a real pot roast...yum yum..Cook it nice and slow 300 to 325.

I agree with Ruthie, Pot Roast all the way. I do it very much the same way, except I use
tomato juice instead of water. Leftovers (if there are any) make great soup.

I put it in a bag or just cover it with foil. I don't brown it or anything. I use a can of
cream of mushroom soup, a package of Lipton's onion soup, a small bottle of A1, and minced
garlic. Put the minced garlic on and then pour everything else on top. Cook for a few
hours. WONDERFUL!! The juices make the best gravy too. I usually do potatoes, carrots and
celery with it too.

I agree with Ruthie except have used V-8 along with water. Sliced onion and placed on
bottom of roasting pan, placing roast on top of onion.

I cooked a rump roast a couple of weeks ago and used a roasting bag and used the seasoning
in there. It is, by far, the best roast I have ever cooked.

I always use the dry onion soup packet on my roasts. Make sure you rub it into the meat-
and don't salt-just add some pepper before roasting. Slow, as Ruthie said...and, if you
don't feel like making thickened gravy? By using the onion soup...add just a little water
after you remove the roast, stir & pour into a gravyboat for a delightful au jus!

I do my pot roast with the onion soup mix too except I use golden mushroom soup instead of
plain cream of mushroom.
