SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN AND PORK
1 Tbls. oil
1 cup green and red pepper
1 Tbls. cornstarch
1/4 cup soy sauce
8 oz. chunk or crushed pineapple in juice
3 Tbls. vinegar
3 Tbls. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 lb. chicken, cubed
1/2 lb. pork, cubed
2 cups rice, cooked
Cut up chicken and pork into 1-inch cubes; put in heated pan with the oil. Cook until no
longer pink in the middle. Mix the cornstarch and soy sauce and add to the pan and
simmmer. Mix together the vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic powder. Add to the pan
of meat. Chop up the green/red pepper and add to the pan; simmer 10-15 minutes, until the
pepper is tender. Add the pineapple and juice; heat until hot. Serve over cooked rice.
