    Cabbage Cassarole

    Boil equal amounts of:
Broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower that has been cut into mouth size pieces. (Okay, stick with me here!!! LOL)
I triple the recipe for medium thickness white sauce. While that is cooking, cut a brick of cheddar cheese into cubes. (I use about a pound and a half in this.) Keep stirring your white sauce when it begins to heat so it won't burn. Drain the vegetables, and place in a cassarole dish...it usually makes two (by choice) Take about a half loaf of white bread and tear into chunks. Place ontop on the vegetables. Now add your cheese cubes. Pour the white sauce on a little bit at a time, and stir. You want it to have a "little bit extra white sauce, as some of it will evaporate and be absorbed into the bread". Stir until well mixed, adding more white sauce when needed. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes. This is wonderful. Even my picky vegetable eating husband loves this, and my kids. Enjoy!!!
