Powertoys Package

To download click here Powertoys 95 (full package). Save in a folder then open the .zip file and use the .inf file to install the apps individually for best results. If you are unfamiliar with Microsoft Powertoys for Windows 95/98 you should  spend some time visitng the following site PCForrest's Self-Help Site . (While Microsoft places a disclaimer saying that these are not intended to be used with Win 98 that is simply because they were created to work with Win 95)

The Powertoys Package that downloads contains several apps not listed here. Some  worked best under Windows 95 and some have been integrated into Windows 98. Below are a list of the ones I have used.

Content.inf
When you right-click on any folder or other container, you'll get a cascading menu that shows you all the contents of that folder. It works on shortcuts-to-folders, too.

Deskmenu.inf
Get to the contents of your desktop from a  menu that appears in your taskbar near the clock.  Click it for quick access to all of your desktop contents through a menu bar. Deskmenu also allows you to minimize and unminimize all of your windows.

Doshere.inf
Right-click a folder and start an MS-DOS prompt right from there.  TIP:  You can   right-click the small  icon in the  upper left hand corner of an open folder.

Explore.inf
A simple custom command for all folders and containers that lets you right-click and choose "Explore from Here" to get an Explorer window that has the target folder as its root.

Findx.inf
Lets you add your own custom commands to the "Find" menu.  Comes with a few built-in to get you started.  The find menu exists inside the start menu.  Easy access is available by using the above content.inf option on the start menu.  Right click on the start menu and select content | find.

Sendtox.inf
  Adds the following new commands to your "Send To" menu:
  Send To Any Folder
  Send To Clipboard as Contents
  Send To Clipboard as Name
  Send To Command Line
  Send To several types of E-mail
There is a reg fix here Send to Desktop Fix.reg that some folks find necessary to enable the Send To Desktop function to work correctly

Target.inf
Finally, you can get the properties for a shortcut's target just by right-clicking the shortcut. This extension will add to any shortcut's context menu the complete context menu of its target.
