Subject: Here's a way to view Thumbnails in folder view!

Hi. I've received lots of advice here so I thought I'd contribute something
for a change.
Like many of you, I was having trouble viewing thumbnails of my graphics
files. I was playing around with folder settings and somehow figured it
out. Call it dumb luck or whatever.
1. Go to the folder that contains the graphics files
2. Click on the desktop.ini file within that folder. It should open with
Notepad.
3. Replace the contents of the file with the following and save.
[{5984FFE0-28D4-11CF-AE66-08002B2E1262}]
PersistMoniker=file://Folder.htt
[.ShellClassInfo]
ConfirmFileOp=0
[{8BEBB290-52D0-11d0-B7F4-00C04FD706EC}]
MenuName=T&humbnails
ToolTipText=T&humbnails
HelpText=Displays items using thumbnail view.
Attributes=0x60000000
4. The next time you open the folder, click on View and there should be a
Thumbnails option. Click it and you should see nice crisp thumbnails of all
the graphics in that folder. If the thumbs are displayed in a single column
on the left, just maximize the folder and press F5 or choose Refresh from
View and you will see the graphics in 4-5 columns.
Note: You need to make sure the type of file in question (i.e. .jpg, .jpe,
etc) is set up and properly associated in the Folder/File Types area. You
also need a folder.htt file in the same folder as the graphics.
Good luck.
