I'm not sure of the answer to your direct question, but I'll tell you a secret, if you promise not to use it on these NG's(;->

To copy and paste a screen, hit Print Screen key.  This copies the image on to your clipboard.  Open your Paint program, found in your Start/Programs/Accessories list.

Go to Edit in the menu and select Paste............Voila

If you want to just copy the open dialog box, hold down the Alt key while you hit Print Screen.
