For all those that are having  internet performance slow downs on a v.90 modem
do this.

For windows 98:
Go to START,SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL,
Go into NETWORK, Double click on Dial-up adapter.
Click on the Advanced tab, and set your IP Packet Size to SMALL

Win98 by default makes it "Automatic" but by putting it on Small it makes
internet smoother performance.
