| Are you tired of the windows splash screens? You can change
these and create animated logos with XrX Logo Utility You can also change the splash screens yourself easily by editing,
creating one yourself or converting a graphic file with MS Paint. Just load the file into
Ms Paint and go to Image and select Attributes.
Set the Width to 320 pixels and the Height to 400 pixels
and select color image. Use the "Select Tool"
to drag and resize the image to fit exactly inside the screen then Save As
a 256 Color bitmap with the name LOGO.bmp. The file will
be 127K. Next change the extension from .bmp to .SYS and
place the new LOGO.SYS into your C:\ directory.
To change the Please Wait Screen just save as LOGOW.SYS
and place it into the C:\Windows directory. You can do the same for the Shut
Down Screen by naming the file LOGOS.SYS and saving it to the C:\Windows
directory.
