Hot Caramel Milk Shake

2 egg yolks
2 tablespoons caramel syrup
salt to taste
2 cups hot milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

In the top of a double boiler beat the egg yolk until thick. Add the syrup, salt & milk. Place the pan over simmering water, & heat until scalking. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the vanilla & beat until frothy. Serve immediately.
