My Favorite Eggnog

2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
salt to taste
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon rum extract
1/2 cup cream
fresh ground nutmeg

In the top of a double boiler beat the eggs, sugar & salt. Add the milk. Place the pan over hot water, & stir frequently until heated through. Chill. Stir in the rum extract. Fold in the stiffly beaten cream & add a dash of nutmeg. Serve immediately.
Makes 5-6 servings
