Rolled Sugar Cookies

4 ½ cups flour
1 cup shortening
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk

mix as you do pie crust the following: flour, shortening, baking powder, soda and salt .Then stir in the sugar. Add the eggs, milk and vanilla.
Roll out and cut, place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 F oven until light brown around the edges. Cool and frost if desired or before baking cookies, sprinkle with sugar and bake.
