Swiss Steak

round steak, about quarter lb per person
1 can of tomato soup -or- 1 can cream of mushroom
i package of lipton onion soup mix
1 lb baby carrots
1 celery heart, chopped
1 med or large onion
1 potato per person (i use bakers, scrubbed and washed)
options, any favorite root vegetable, stewed tomatoes.
note: i don't add salt but do use cracked pepper. there is plenty of salt in the soup!

trim steak of visible fat, and brown in a pam sprayed baking pan. add veggies. cover with packet of onion soup mix, and can of soup of your choice. add 2 cans of water. cover baker with foil or lid and bake till potatoes are tender and meat breaks apart. (about 2 hours @ 350)
this is very forgiving and can be adapted to favorite veggies, potatoes, etc.
