K-L's Fresh Salsa
6 med. firm tomatoes - chopped
(I use drained canned roma tomatoes when fresh are lousy)
2.25 oz. can black olives - drained, chopped
4 oz. can green chilies - drained, chopped
1 bunch green onions - chopped with some of the green
1 bunch of fresh cilantro leaves
3 Tbls. olive oil
3 Tbls. juice of fresh lemon, or lime
1 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper - to taste
(We like a chopped fresh Jalapeno pepper in ours, but it might be too hot for
some.)
-Combine all ingredients, and let flavors mix for at least an hour. This will
keep in a mason jar, refrigerated for up to two weeks.
