Scalloped Potatoes

3 or 4 large baking potatoes
flour
milk
butter
salt
diced onion

350 oven.

peel and slice potatoes 1/4 inch thick. Dice onion small! In a 2 qt. oblong buttered casserole dish layer potatoes in the bottom top with diced onion, salt, 2 tablespoons flour and dots of butter. Keep layering potatoes and rest of ingredients until potatoes are used up ending with flour . Pour milk over entire casserole until it just barely covers the top of the potatoes. Now this is the important part. You need to heat this before you put it in the oven to reduce baking time and browning. I put the casserole in the microwave for 10 minutes and then put it directly in the oven for about 40 minutes. If you don't have a microwave, use heated milk. About 10 minutes before it is done, stir the casserole to thicken! Allow to continue baking until it is golden brown on top
