Wild Rice Dressing
3 cups cooked wild rice ( 1 cup raw will make 3 cups)
1 stalk chopped celery
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp oregano
3 slices bacon, cut up
2 cups sliced mushrooms
2 tsp sage
sprinkle of salt and pepper
2 c bread crumbs
Fry the bacon pieces add onions, celery and mushrooms. Sauté until soft. Add to
wild rice with seasonings and bread crumbs. Makes enough to stuff a 10 - 14 lb
turkey. Adjust seasonings to taste.
We cooked this in a buttered casserole dish instead of stuffing it in the
turkey.
