Easy Beef Stew
1 pound round steak
8 oz button mushrooms cleaned and sliced
2 cups sliced carrots
2 ribs of celery sliced
3 TBSP finely grated turnip or parsnip
salt, pepper to taste
flour
2 cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup
4 cups water
cut steak into 1 inch cubes, coat in flour and brown in a dutch oven, add the
rest of the ingredients and cook covered in the oven for 2 hours and uncovered 1
hour checking and stirring every half hour or so (add more water if too thick)
serve with potatoes, rice or noodles
