Macaroni Beef and Vegatable Soup

3 cans of stewed tomatoes pureed
carrots sliced
2lb. lean ground beef
one large sweet onion
one bag frozen white corn
1/2 bag frozen green peas
1 1/2 cups uncooked macaroni or shells
I envelope of McCormicks beef stew seasoning
salt


brown ground beef and drain fat if there is any. In a large soup pot add the cooked and drained ground beef to the stewed pureed tomatoes bring to a boil and add the onion, carrots, frozen corn and frozen peas. Let simmer on med heat for 20 minutes. Next add the macaroni , stir. bring to a boil and let simmer 10 minutes or until the mac is done.
Now slowly add the McCormicks seasoning at the very last and stir to prevent lumps , this will thicken the soup. Add salt to taste. At times during the cooking I found I had to add water to the soup to keep it from getting too thick, but it didn't change the taste much at all. You can add tomato juice if you have it on hand, to make the soup less thick.
