I make my own dog toys. Let me tell you how.
Dogs just love to play with things they can bat around on the floor, and scatter all over the house. Store bought toys are nice, but sometimes dogs like to make their own toys. In this project dogs will learn how to recycle trash into toys.
This project is rated VERY EASY for dogs to do.
What you need
a wastebasket full of trash
a person getting a beverage in the kitchen

Here are two ways to make toys by recycling trash:
Find a wastebasket filled with a variety of trash. It is best to avoid ones that smell of garbage, as that is only good to roll in. Look into the wastebasket for small wads of tissues, milk jugs, q-tips, or pop bottle rings. Chomp down on your found toy and remove it from the wastebasket. (Try not to dump the contents on the floor as this usually pisses Mom off.) Toss it into the air and go have a ball with your new toy! Sometimes I take the toy to Spunky, and she will throw it for me.
There is a better way to get a milk jug or pop bottle rings. When a person goes into the kitchen for a beverage, walk right in their way,and whine until they give you whatever they are eating or drinking. Bark loudly if they take the empty milk jug to the wastebasket. Let them know you want that milk jug! It might take a few tries, but you can train your person to give you the milk jug as toys.

Hi Spike! I've been making dog toys ever since I adopted my family. Thanks for the tip on milk jugs, I didn't think of that one.
I trained my Papa to tie his old (clean) socks in a knot and to play tug-of-war with me. He really seems to enjoy it, until I pull too hard and make him spill his coffee. At least I finally get some coffee of my own that way.
My other favorite craft item to make a toy out of is Mama's slipper....but she gets really mad about that, so I stopped.
Oops! Gotta go ~ Mama is coming and I'm over my computer time limit!

Cats rule and Dogs drool! my favorite craft project is knitting. I can turn an entire sweater sleeve into a tangled mass of yarn if mom leaves her knitting unattended. When I hear her coming, I quickly scoot to the other side of the room and look at Bob the cat like he is guilty as he!!
Mitzy the wonder cat, I keep them wondering what I will do next!
I am the good cat in this house. My favorite toy is a little stuffed mouse, I even take it to bed with me. Sometimes Mitzie hides it though. I am not in the least bit crafty,unless you count TP confetti. To make this you pounce a fresh roll of TP off the shelf in the bathroom, and kick and claw and spur it until it it totally tattered and shredded. What fun!

Ok I am big and not too bright. The only craft I have done in my new house with my new family has been the un-making of a stuffed reindeer. For this you get a really cute small stuffed reindeer whose nose lights us when you squeeze his ear and place it in your mouth and then pull with your paws and teeth until you remove an ear, antler, or paw. Proceed to remove the stuffing until you can not dig anymore out. Tare the body open. Pull more stuffing place strategically all around the room. This is best done with in 5 minutes of mom or dad vacuuming the carpet. you end up with lovely little fake snow drifts all over the room giving it a wonderful holiday look.

I'm a small yellow cockatiel who lives with my mom,dad,2 dogs and 4 cats.My momma loves me best because I keep telling her so.
I like to play with all kinds of things,including momma's earrings.I have
fun imitating the microwave,telephone,alarm clock and other noisy things.I
also talk human talk with a southern accent.When strangers talk to me in
silly bird words I look them right in the eye and say,"birds cant
talk".It gets them every time.
