I hope to add to this page regularly as more and more excellent resource sites spring up. These are not listed in any particular order. I just add them as I find them.
Paul Thorrutt's SuperSite for Windows - Simply stated this site has it all. It chronicles the evolution of the operating system from it's early beta days when it was known as Whistler through to it's final release as Windows XP. There are reviews, a super FAQ, and information on 'what's next' from Microsoft. Paul Thorrutt is also an active contributor to several of the public newsgroups set up to assist people in getting started with Windows XP.
Emulator's On Line - for a candid review of Microsoft's newest OS. The author gives a Top 15 Reasons to Upgrade to XP. He also gives us his impression of a few of the negative aspects of XP. Well worth the read IMO.
Windows XP - This takes you to the official Microsoft Home page for Windows XP.
Jim Eshelman MVP has put together another great resource. This one is specific to Windows XP/2000 and includes troubleshooting tips and links to other help sites. You need to bookmark this site folks.
PCtechnitions.ca - We need more Canadian content! But far beyond this site being "proudly Canadian" it is an excellent resource with Guides, Tips information about Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP and Links to current online computer news sites.
Doug's Windows Tweaks & Tips - Doug Knox is a Microsoft MVP and Windows Associate Expert. He is well known for registry fixes and his development of .vbs files. Doug posts a number of these at his site. do you want to turn off the CD Autoplay feature in XP? Take this link.
Kelly Theriot's Help & Information - Kelly Theriot is a Microsoft MVP with a fine addition to the growing collection of sites dedicated to XP. This site has a comprehensive set of links to Hardware Support sites and Drivers for XP. Check it out!
Marfer's Notes - A Microsoft MVP and Windows XP Expert Associate Mark L. Ferguson is a highly respected contributor to Microsoft public newsgroups. Mark is well known for his ability to find answers to the most obscure questions about Windows system issues. There are no whistles and pops at this site. It is a repository of Mark 's tips and experience.

Steve Winograd's Networking FAQ - Steve Winograd is a Microsoft MVP who gives straightforward answers to questions about setting up and ensuring your network runs smoothly.
Michael Stevens Tech - Michael is a MS MVP specializing in Windows XP. His site offers an great Windows XP FAQ as well as a very useful page on accessing the BIOS for a large number of different systems.
Computer Security with Jupiter Jones MS MVP - A great site with info on security, firewalls, Windows Update Site issues and more
Bert Kinney MS MVP - System Restore and much, much more. Great info on working with and repairing System Restore but there are also a host of other tips at this excellent site. Thanks Bert!
Calendar of Updates - The calendar is filled with the latest developments for protective updates as well as evolving threats. This site is managed by Donna Buenaventura MS MVP
Nutcase's Home - Rick Roger [aka 'nutcase' in the MS Newsgroups] has a super resource site here including a section on installing software using different accounts. This is a must have site.
Broomeman.com - Donny Broome contributes to a number of technical support groups. Here is a link to his support page which has several links to XP related topics. Donny has a lot of great links to bookmark!
TweakXP.com - Looks like a ton of great info here. Does your system have a long bootup time? Click here
XPTOOLS - Another nice resource. The Tips, Tweaks and Secrets page is chock full of good info.
Links To Technical Articles - Kayode Okeyode has put together an great site with links to a wide variety of troubleshooting tips.
Down4Free - This site has an XP section with plenty of tips and links to other sites. Check here for Hardware Drivers if you need them and access to a variety of software downloads.
Radified.com - while not specific to Windows XP this is an excellent resource site. It offers tutorials for using programs like Norton Ghost and advice on essential software. Bookmark this one!
Windows Registry Guide - While this site is not specific to XP it offers a number of tips on modifying the XP registry. Some of the NT/2000 tips might also work. As the author's of the site warns "Make sure you make a backup of your registry before you mess with it."
BlkViper.com - Nicely put together site with great info about XP Services and recommendations for running or disabling them. Make sure you check out the info at the site regarding SP1
Labmice.com - This is a comprehensive site covering all aspects of Windows XP. I should be bookmarked by all IT pro or any tech working with Windows XP.
Startup Applications - A super list of Startup Applications. No just for XP but all versions of Windows. A definite book-mark!
Pac Man's Portal - Another superb site on troubleshooting Startup items. Lots of tips, places to look and fixes.
That Computer Guy and His Wife - Great tips, a support forum, current virus information, very inexpensive webhosting and other valuable services can be had with a visit to this site. This is also an alternate location for ViewKeyXP if my link is broken.
PC Pick Me Ups - A great site which covers a variety of Windows platforms. I has installation guides, tweaking ideas and information on how to maintain your system.
Bob Cerelli's Windows Page - A great site with a long history on the internet. Bob provides tips for Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP as well as a lot of other useful material including Networking information and a download of the NTBackup.msi tool that is missing from some OEM versions of XP.
geekgirls.com - A very well done site with easy follow tutorials. Definitely a keeper!
The Elder Geek (TEG) - Definitely needs to be bookmarked!! This site has it all.
A Faster, Better Behaved Windows XP - A well packed compilation of information, tips, tweaks and links to other great Windows XP sites. Gord Braun has put in an excellent effort. Bookmark this site as you will definitely be returning to it.
